This isn’t just a trip — it’s a quiet conspiracy between places that rarely share the spotlight. Naples brings the chaos, history and pizza. The Amalfi Coast brings its dramatic postcard cliffs. And Puglia… well, Puglia is something else entirely: raw, authentic, and maddeningly good.
We start in Naples, where every side street seems to shout something different. Then on to Pompeii, where the past isn’t dead — just dusted with ash. Afterwards, if the sea behaves, we explore Amalfi and Positano by boat, two places that don’t need filters or hashtags to impress. Though you may need a second coffee.
Just when the south starts to feel familiar, the script flips. Matera waits with its cave-cut houses and ancient soul. Taranto and Lecce show you another kind of south: baroque, Greek, faded, untouched. And yes, there’s pasta, wine, and dishes that nobody outside Italy pronounces correctly.
Then comes Alberobello, Ostuni, and other white-stone wonders that look like models but function as real towns. We finish in Bari, where daily life brews between alleys, focaccia, and older women making pasta at their doorsteps. No performance needed — life simply happens here.
This route is designed to see a lot, but also to enjoy it without rushing. It includes direct flights from Santiago, 4★ hotels, good food and that rare balance between structured and spontaneous. It won’t change your life, but it might make you rethink a few things when you’re back home.

Itinerary
Day 1: Naples & Puglia from Santiago begins – Arrival in Naples
Departure on a special flight from Santiago to Naples. Arrival, assistance at the airport and transfer to the hotel.
Free afternoon to start discovering the city: lively streets, a mix of history and modern life, and the cuisine that has made Naples famous worldwide. Stroll along Spaccanapoli, visit Via San Gregorio Armeno or simply enjoy the atmosphere of the historic centre.
We recommend trying an authentic Neapolitan pizza or a sfogliatella in one of its traditional pastry shops.
Overnight in Naples.
Day 2: Pompeii & the Amalfi Coast by boat
Breakfast. Departure from Naples towards Pompeii for a guided visit of this Roman city frozen in time after the eruption of Vesuvius. Walk through its ancient streets, houses, baths and public spaces to learn about daily life before the catastrophe.
After the visit, continue to Salerno to board a panoramic boat tour along the Amalfi Coast. From the sea, admire the dramatic cliffs, terraced landscapes and iconic scenery of southern Italy. We will make a photo stop in front of Positano.
Disembark in Amalfi and enjoy free time to explore its historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, visit the cathedral or simply enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of its streets.
Return to Naples in the afternoon. Optionally, visit Herculaneum, one of the best-preserved archaeological sites in Italy.

Day 3: From Naples to Matera · The cave city
Breakfast. Morning departure towards Basilicata to reach Matera at lunchtime. Known for its Sassi—cave dwellings, narrow streets and rock-cut churches—Matera is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Time for lunch and to get a first taste of local cuisine.
In the afternoon, guided visit through the historic districts of Sasso Barisano and Sasso Caveoso, including rock-cut churches such as Santa Maria de Idris or San Pietro Barisano, and a traditional casa grotta to better understand local life in the past.
Time at the end of the visit to enjoy viewpoints, narrow lanes and panoramic terraces overlooking the Gravina ravine.
Overnight in Matera. Half Board.
Day 4: Taranto & Lecce · Mediterranean history and southern baroque
Breakfast. Morning departure to Taranto, a city between two seas with an important Greek heritage. Panoramic visit including the Aragonese Castle, remains of the Temple of Poseidon, the cathedral of San Cataldo and the narrow streets of the old town.
Included lunch with typical dishes from the region of Puglia.
Free time before continuing the journey to Lecce, passing landscapes of olive trees and small villages.
Arrival in Lecce, known as the “Florence of the Baroque”. Orientation walk and hotel check-in.
Dinner and overnight in Lecce. Half Board.
Day 5: Lecce · Salento baroque & optional excursion to Otranto
Breakfast. Guided walking tour of Lecce’s historic centre, famous for its extraordinary baroque architecture. Highlights include Piazza Sant’Oronzo, Piazza del Duomo and the Basilica of Santa Croce.
Included lunch with local specialities.
In the afternoon, optional excursion to Otranto with visit of its old town and cathedral, known for its impressive medieval mosaic of the Tree of Life. Free time along the seafront.
Travellers who remain in Lecce will have free time to explore at their own pace.
Dinner and overnight in Lecce. Half Board.
Day 6: Lecce – Ostuni – Alberobello – Bari
Breakfast. Departure to Ostuni, the “white city”, perched on a hill with exceptional views over the Adriatic and the surrounding olive groves. Free time to walk through its historic streets.
Continue to Alberobello, famous for its trulli—unique cone-shaped stone houses listed as UNESCO World Heritage. Free time to explore the town.
Included lunch with regional dishes.
Afternoon departure to Bari. If time allows, orientation walk before heading to the hotel.
Dinner and overnight in Bari. Half Board.
Day 7: Bari – Guided visit & free time
Breakfast. Guided walking tour of Bari Vecchia, the old town, with its lively alleys, traditional façades and the famous local women making orecchiette by hand.
Visit of the Basilica of San Nicola, the Church of San Gregorio and the Norman-Swabian Castle.
Included lunch in a local restaurant.
Afternoon free in Bari with the possibility of joining an optional excursion to Polignano a Mare or Monopoli.
Dinner at leisure. Overnight in Bari.
Half Board.
Day 8: Bari – Return home
Breakfast at the hotel and free time depending on your departure schedule.
Transfer to the airport for the return flight. End of services.
