We will pick you up at the selected meeting point to start our excursion to Seville from Malaga and the Costa del Sol. Seville is about 210 km from Malaga, and the journey will take approximately 3 hours. During the trip, we will make a brief stop for breakfast and restroom breaks before continuing to the Andalusian capital. Get ready to immerse yourself in a day full of history, culture, and the charm of Seville!

Upon entering Seville around 11:00h, enjoy scenic views from the bus as we pass through iconic locations such as Paseo de Colón, the Guadalquivir River, Avenida de las Palmeras, and the beautiful Maria Luisa Park, where you will have the opportunity to visit the famous Plaza de España during your free time. Take your time to walk around and capture unforgettable photos of this iconic square, known for representing all the autonomous communities of Spain.

We will continue towards the Murillo Gardens and head into Seville’s old town, all the way to Puerta de Jerez, one of the most emblematic historic gates of Seville, located near the city’s most famous monuments, including the Torre del Oro. From Puerta de Jerez, the group will be divided based on the selected option, and you can enjoy one of the following ways to explore Seville in a day:

1. Seville at Your Leisure

If you prefer to explore Seville at your own pace, you can enjoy 5 hours of free time to visit the city on your own. You can begin your exploration from the Plaza del Triunfo, where you’ll be able to admire the magnificent Seville Cathedral and La Giralda from the outside, soaking in the historic atmosphere of the area.

You may wander through the charming Santa Cruz neighbourhood, a maze of narrow streets filled with picturesque squares such as Doña Elvira and Plaza de Santa Cruz, surrounded by fragrant orange trees and imbued with Andalusian charm. Continue your journey to the Murillo Gardens, a relaxing green space perfect for taking a moment before heading to the Parque de María Luisa and the impressive Plaza de España. The city’s waterways and colourful tilework make this square an ideal place for a leisurely stroll and fantastic photo opportunities.

Afterward, you can visit the lively Triana neighbourhood, known for its traditional pottery shops and authentic atmosphere. Cross the San Telmo Bridge next to the Torre del Oro and take a walk along Calle Betis, where you’ll have stunning views of the Guadalquivir River and Seville’s old town. Continue on to the Metropol Parasol, a modern architectural marvel that contrasts with the city’s historic architecture. For a more relaxed break, enjoy some tapas at the Plaza del Salvador before heading back to meet the group.

2. Seville Cathedral & Giralda Tour

We will begin with a one-hour guided tour through the narrow, picturesque streets of the Santa Cruz neighbourhood, famous for its legends and rich history. We will visit Plaza de Doña Elvira, Plaza de Santa Cruz, and admire the flower-filled courtyards. Along the way, we will pass the Callejón del Agua next to the Alcazar wall and the statue of Don Juan Tenorio in Plaza de los Refinadores.

Once we reach the Plaza del Triunfo, you’ll have the chance to explore the magnificent Seville Cathedral, the world’s third-largest cathedral by surface area, with a one-hour guided tour. You will be fascinated by the gothic and Renaissance architecture, as well as the history of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Highlights include the imposing High Altarpiece, Christopher Columbus’ tomb, the Royal Chapel, and stained glass windows that tell stories from the Bible.

You will also visit the beautifully-carved choir, the treasury, and the Sacristía Mayor, which houses masterpieces by Murillo and Goya, among other Baroque artists. Afterward, enjoy some free time to visit the iconic Giralda, the tower of the Seville Cathedral. Here, you can climb to the top for panoramic views of the city — the perfect opportunity to take unforgettable pictures of Seville from above. From approximately 14:00h, you will have free time to enjoy Seville and its delicious cuisine at your own leisure.

3. Seville & Real Alcázar Tour

Our day begins with a one-hour guided tour through the charming Santa Cruz neighbourhood, known for its mysteries and historical significance. We will explore Plaza de Doña Elvira, Plaza de Santa Cruz, and pass through beautiful courtyards, including Callejón del Agua and the statue of Don Juan Tenorio in Plaza de los Refinadores. The area exudes Andalusian charm and is the perfect introduction to the city.

From Plaza del Triunfo, the guide will take you to the Real Alcázar of Seville, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the oldest royal palaces still in use today. The Real Alcázar is famous for its stunning architecture, which blends Islamic, Renaissance, and Baroque styles. You will explore its intricate courtyards, such as the Courtyard of the Maidens and the Ambassadors’ Hall, and the beautiful gardens, where fountains and paths offer an oasis of peace in the heart of Seville.

Following the tour, you will have free time to explore more of Seville, whether it’s for a quick bite to eat or just enjoying the city’s atmosphere. At around 16:00h, we will gather the group once more at Puerta de Jerez and head back to the bus for our return trip to Malaga.
