Granada At Your Leisure

There's So Much More To Granada

“Give him alms, woman, for nothing in life is as sad as being blind in Granada.”Francisco de Icaza

These famous words, penned by Mexican writer and diplomat Francisco de Icaza (1863–1925), capture the breathtaking beauty of Granada. A city of Moorish palaces, sun-drenched courtyards, and stunning views of the Sierra Nevada, Granada is a place that must be seen to be truly appreciated. This poetic lament reminds us that to be unable to witness such splendour is a tragedy in itself.

This day trip to Granada is perfect if you like to visit cities at your leisure, even if you have already bought tickets to monuments, such as the Alhambra, but you don’t know how to get there, we will take you by bus from Malaga to Granada. Take or make time to discover the tapas, the tea shops and the most charming city of Nasrid origin in Andalusia.

Please be aware that this tour does NOT leave from Fuengirola.

Your best option is to take the Cercanías train to Torremolinos and a short walk to the Bus Stop at 15, Avenida Palma de Mallorca.

Collection time here is 07:50 AM.

Granada at Your Leisure: Day Trip from Malaga

We will pick you up by bus at your chosen time and location to begin your unforgettable day trip to Granada. As we journey through Malaga and the stunning Costa del Sol, our expert guide will share fascinating anecdotes and stories about the history of Granada. Along the way, we’ll stop for a refreshing breakfast before continuing to our destination.

Marvel at the breathtaking views of the Sierra Nevada mountain range as you approach the city.

Once in Granada, you’ll have approximately 5 hours of Granada at your leisure to explore the city at your own pace. We will drop you off at the Paseo del Salón in the heart of the city, giving you ample time to discover the beauty and history of Granada.

Visit the magnificent Granada Cathedral, a Renaissance masterpiece that stands as a symbol of the Catholic Monarchs’ glory in 1492, and is the final resting place of Queen Isabella of Castile and King Ferdinand of Aragon.

Take a stroll through Plaza Nueva, the oldest square in Granada and a key crossroads in the historic centre. Don’t miss the Torre de la Vela, and the famous Elvira Street, renowned for its charming tea shops and delightful tapas bars.

Wander down Carrera del Darro, one of the most photographed streets, and enjoy the peaceful beauty of the Paseo de los Tristes, which lies at the foot of the Alhambra and the Albaicín district.

If you enjoy immersing yourself in history, you can explore two of Granada’s oldest quarters: the Sacromonte district, the heart of gypsy culture, and the Albaicín, where you can visit the Mirador de San Nicolás for panoramic views of the city, the Alhambra, and the Sierra Nevada in the distance.

At the time specified by our guide, we will meet again for the return journey to Malaga.
