The town is dominated by an impressive Moorish fortress which was the residence of the Nasrid kings. Next, visit Motril, which sits on a hill at the foot of the Sierra de Lújar. Its coastal and tourist attractions are complemented by its artistic heritage. Its old quarter is typical of Hispano-Arabic town planning. Highlights include the church of La Encarnación, built on the site of the old main mosque, the Town Hall and the Sanctuary of the Virgen de la Cabeza, the beaches of La Joya, Poniente and Carchuna and the port. Return to the hotel for lunch. Afternoon at leisure, dinner and accommodation.

In the afternoon excursion to Guadix, situated on the northern slopes of the Sierra Nevada and presided over by the Moorish citadel which dominates the town. Here you can see the Cathedral of the Incarnation. The most famous quarter of Guadix is the one formed by caves carved into the clay soil. Organising your trip needs time and care to make sure everything goes smoothly. The more time you can give me  to organise whatever you require: flights, transfers, golf courses, green fees, tee times, a day trip for the days you don’t play golf, a fishing trip, a visit to one of the major cities in Andalusia, especially if you would like to visit the Alhambra in Granada. The waiting list for tickets to see the whole complex is long. And, when they’re gone, they’re gone!
