If it's your First Visit, your best bet is a guided tour of the rock

A visit to Gibraltar is a must. This unique British overseas territory is known for its society of multiple cultures and religions, as well as for its strategic value in the Mediterranean. You will discover the area where the Monkeys live, St. Michael’s Caves and the most impressive views of the Strait of Gibraltar over Africa and the Bay of Algeciras.

Your fellow passengers on the coach may have chosen a different type of Gibraltar tour. Once the group arrives at La Línea de La Concepción, everybody has to cross the border. Remember to check your documentation for access to Gibraltar. If you do not hold a UK or EU member state passport, please check Visa requirements before booking.

Once the group enters Gibraltar, it will split up and each member will go off to do whichever activity they have booked.

You have chosen a one-and-a-half hour panoramic tour of the Rock of Gibraltar. During the trip you will cross through tunnels and along small cliffs over the sea that lead to the southernmost point of Europe There will be a 15-minute stop at Europe Point viewpoint, from where you will see Africa across the Strait of Gibraltar. A little further on the climb up the rock there’s a stop to visit St. Michael’s Cave. Legend has it that the caves themselves are the Gates to Hell, an entrance to the underworld. To finish the tour we will go to see the area where the monkeys live. The Barbary macaque, endemic to Gibraltar, lives in the wild in the Rock of Gibraltar Nature Reserve, also known as Calpe Rock or Mount Calpe.

The visit to the Rock of Gibraltar is to visit another country and an amalgam of cultures unique in Europe. Once the sight-seeing tour is over, you will have free time for lunch. What better than some fish & chips at The Bastion Restaurant, or have a mooch in the shopping area, especially along Main Street.
