Other activities available if extra days are required due to flight availability:
Full day Camín Encantau: Breakfast and departure to walk the “Camín Encantáu”, in Llanes, a different kind of journey. A legendary walk through Asturian mythology, where many fantastic tales and stories have survived to the present day. It is a walk through time in which the imagination and respect for the environment go hand in hand, and where the culebres, xanas or trasgos somehow exist. Picnic lunch. In the afternoon we will visit Ribadesella, the mouth of the river Sella, where the hermitage of La Guía and its views of the Picos de Europa are a highlight. Return to the hotel, dinner and accommodation.
Full day Ruta del Cares: Picos de Europa: River Cares Route. Breakfast and departure to the Picos de Europa to walk the famous River Cares Route. Probably the most impressive route on foot suitable for anyone with no previous experience in the mountains. Twelve kilometres separate the towns of Caín (León) and Poncebos (Asturias) crossing the Picos de Europa along a path that has been called the “divine gorge”. The Cares Route is accessible to all and offers spectacular scenery. Picnic lunch. If you wish, you can go to the village of Camarmeña to contemplate the impressive Picu Urriellu or the Naranjo de Bulnes, the emblematic peak of the Picos de Europa. Return to the hotel, dinner and accommodation.
